Releases

NICC Standards Limited (NICC) has previously adopted a coloured release scheme for the development of interconnect and interoperability standards relating to NGNs.   This release scheme has been superseded.

NICC still utilises releases in order to programme manage the development of access, interconnect and interoperability standards relating to Next Generation Networks (NGNs).  Each release consists of a series of topics, each of which contains associated standards.  These standards may be re-used across multiple topics.

The scope of a release and the constituent standards are documented in ND1610.

The main body of ND1610 sets out the overall scope of the release, and is applicable for all values z (e.g. V3.1.z, applies for v3.1.1, v3.1.2 etc).

An Annex to ND1610 sets out the detail of the specific standards, together with version numbers, which comprise the release.  The contents of this associated spreadsheet will change between values of z, to reflect changes to the standards that comprise the Release, i.e. the contents of the spreadsheet will change between v3.1.1, v3.1.2 etc
